The event took place in Santurce, Puerto Rico, the heart of the island’s metropolitan area, with music, and typical island food, as a tribute to the artist’s return to his Puerto Rican roots, reflected in the music themes of his new album.
At the center of the event was the domino tournament organized by the National Domino Federation of Puerto Rico and endorsed by the International Domino Federation (FID).
The prevalence of dominoes in homes and in Puerto Rican culture was undoubtedly a motivation for ‘Bad Bunny’ to include the tournament in the night’s activities.

The tournament featured 32 players who came from all over the island.
In the end, Guillermo Bonet and Manuel Rodriguez came on top as the winning team by beating their opponents in the final round of the tournament, and earning a $10,000 prize provided by RIMAS, Bad Bunny’s business enterprise.
Before the night ended, Bad Bunny arrived to party with attendees, accompanied by a group of “pleneros” (plena is typical music of Puerto Rico) singing one of the songs from his album ‘Café con Ron’.
“Family, thank you for being here tonight. Thanks to the Spotify family for coming to Puerto Rico and sharing. Thank you to the people who attended, to the people who played…’, said Bad Bunny who hails from Vega Baja, from the stage.

From there he participated in a collective sing-along of his album title song Debi tirar más fotos (DtMF) with the audience, after taking a drink of ‘pitorro’ (a type of potent Puerto Rican rum).
The FID, as well as DominoUSA, have announced that 2025 will feature new regional tournaments all around the U.S., including knockout rounds for the World Championship. Separate World qualification tournaments will also be organized in other countries such as Mexico, Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Puerto Rico, organized by their respective national federations.
The FID World Domino Championship is projected for October 2025, in a place to be determined within the coming weeks.
