Major League Baseball launched the City Connect program in 2021 with Nike and will add 6 more teams this 2023 season for a total of 20 teams so far. Teams get to demonstrate love for their cities and connection to their communities. The demand has been staggering.
The Atlanta Braves were up first this season, paying tribute to Hank Aaron with their uniform on April 8th, while the Texas Rangers will be the second team on April 21, followed by the Seattle Mariners on May 5, Cincinnati Reds May 19, Baltimore Orioles May 26 and the Pittsburgh Pirates June 27.
