Wu Xue was born in the People’s Republic of China in 1980, but adopted the Dominican Republic as her home. She is one of the most important Olympic athletes from the Caribbean island, masterfully dominating in table tennis.
In 2010 at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, fans witnessed an enormous exhibition from the Chinese-Dominican athlete, when she equalled the highest number of medals among all participants at the event, with a total of four.

Xue achieved two gold medals in the individual and mixed category with her partner Ju Lin, a Dominican representative who was also born in the People’s Republic of China. She also won silver in the doubles category, and bronze in the team mode.
Also, in 2011, the Dominican women’s table tennis team won gold at the Pan American Games, which were held in Guadalajara, Mexico.
